We are highly trained and qualified to work with kids who require reading, writing, and math remediation. Transitioning to middle school, high school, and college presents a whole host of challenges. The prospect of our little ones exiting the safety of having one primary teacher can be overwhelming. For rising 9th graders, the idea of facing increased homework and the need for more intensive preparation is a reality—especially since their grades will now count toward the college admissions process.

Transitioning to college can be the most overwhelming, as life skills planning away from home tends to be the greatest obstacle that our rising college freshmen face.

We have extensive experience in helping our students gain admission to private and boarding schools throughout the region. Our highly qualified ISEE and SSAT tutors are dedicated to preparing your child for a smooth transition to a new private school. By leveraging our expertise in executive functioning (EF) coaching, we integrate essential study skills into the preparation process alongside other effective tools from our EF toolbox.

Additionally, we have insight into many of the local private schools in the New England metro NYC area, including New Jersey. That is why we also assist in the interview preparation department and make sure your child not only jumps off the application page but makes an impression during their interview.

The college process starts earlier than ever, even during the first or second year of high school. While we don't prioritize the process in those early years, it's never too early to start the conversation. By the time your teenager is a junior in high school, we can start the common application essay and refine it over time. By the fall of their senior year at the latest, they should have a solid idea of whether applying ED (early decision: binding), EA (early action: nonbinding), or regular decision is in the cards. When making that decision, there is a high likelihood that supplemental essays will be necessary, and we have the experience and knowledge to assist.
