Diversified Education Services provides executive function coaching in Boca Raton for students, college students, and adults. Our work combines one-to-one coaching, academic tutoring, ADHD-informed strategies, and individualized accountability systems that help clients become more organized, independent, and confident.
Founded in Greenwich, Connecticut in 2009, DES now works with families throughout South Florida — many of them with bright, capable students who struggle not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t yet built the systems to manage time, organize materials, start assignments, study effectively, and follow through consistently.
Sound Familiar?
Your child is bright, but the same problems keep showing up: missing assignments, late projects, messy portals, last-minute studying, emotional blowups, and constant reminders from parents. At some point, the issue is not effort. The issue is that the student does not yet have a reliable system.
DES helps students build that system through relationship, structure, and accountability — without turning every school conversation into a fight at home.
When Bright Students Keep Falling Behind
Many families contact DES after months — sometimes years — of watching a capable student repeat the same pattern. The student understands the material, but assignments go missing. The portal is a mess. Long-term projects are ignored until the last minute. Studying means rereading notes without a real plan. Parents ask questions, the student gets defensive, and homework becomes a nightly argument instead of a path toward independence.
These patterns are not usually caused by laziness. They are signs that a student’s executive function skills haven’t caught up to their academic demands. Without support, small problems compound into late work, lower grades, anxiety, avoidance, and constant parent-child conflict. Our goal is not to shame students into working harder — it’s to help them understand how they work, create routines they can actually use, and become more independent over time.
Support for Boca Raton Students and Families
Boca Raton and the surrounding South Florida communities are home to many academically driven families, competitive school environments, and college-preparatory expectations. DES supports students in academic environments similar to those found at Saint Andrew’s School, Pine Crest School, Donna Klein Jewish Academy, American Heritage, The Benjamin School, and Oxbridge Academy, along with other elite independent programs across Palm Beach County.
Our services are not affiliated with or endorsed by any specific school. School names are referenced solely to reflect the types of academic environments where many of our students learn.
How Executive Function Coaching in Boca Raton Helps Students
Families often seek support when the same behaviors keep showing up again and again:
- Missing assignments even when the work is completed
- Waiting until the night before to start projects
- Studying without a clear plan
- Forgetting materials, deadlines, or instructions
- Getting overwhelmed by multi-step assignments
- Arguing with parents about homework or school portals
- Spending hours “working” without getting much done
- Knowing what to do but not following through consistently
Coaching builds the real-world skills underneath school performance — managing responsibilities, deadlines, and long-term goals more independently. These skills are especially important for students with ADHD, anxiety, autism, learning differences, or high intelligence paired with inconsistent follow-through.
Executive functioning skills are closely connected to planning, working memory, organization, and self-regulation, as outlined by researchers at the Harvard Center on the Developing Child.

Tutoring That Builds More Than Grades
Academic tutoring in Boca Raton should not focus only on the assignment directly in front of the student. While we help students improve academic performance, we also strengthen the underlying habits — organization, study strategy, and executive function systems — that support long-term success. Students are not simply told what to do. They are taught how to approach work, manage demands, break down assignments, prepare for assessments, and understand the relationship between their habits and their outcomes.
Sessions are practical, structured, and tied to the student’s actual workload: reviewing assignments, organizing digital portals, building weekly plans, preparing for tests, and breaking down long-term projects. Students learn how to study more effectively, manage competing deadlines, communicate when they are stuck, and recover when they fall behind. The aim is to move from last-minute panic to repeatable routines they can run on their own.
